In the entire Book of Esther, God is never specifically mentioned. However, it doesn’t mean that God is not there. The fingerprints of God are found throughout this narrative - those things we fail to understand in the moment, but with hindsight, see clearly as God's working. We can see these fingerprints through the lens of the Gospel. We see God’s providence and sovereignty over the nations and over his own people. God’s seemingly silence cannot be mistaken for His absence. God is concerned and active in our lives today.
