This week’s news for TCCC English Congregation

September 6th, 2026

Announcements

In response to the devastating disaster caused by the flash flooding in Nepal-Tibet, the church’s Disaster Relief Committee and Executive Church Board decided to allocate $10,000 from the Benevolence Fund through Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) to provide emergency assistance to the affected areas.

Progress Update – August 30th, 2026

Roofing and RTU Work Schedule
The originally planned start date has been rescheduled to September 8th due to the contractor’s resource availability.
Parking Arrangements
50 Acadia informed us that Zone 3 will be used for their event parking from September 5th to 7th. We can park our vehicle at Coptic’s Zone D from September 5th to 6th.

Facilities and Venue Booking – We are switching to use the Church Center App for church-related facility booking requests. Please submit your request using this link.

All congregation bookings for personal use will be considered a rental and subject to rental fees. For ministry bookings, please clearly indicate the supervising pastor who provides direction and nurturing of this ministry. Please contact your lead pastor if you have any questions concerning the supervising pastor of a ministry.

A reminder to please park in the designated lots (highlighted in purple) to avoid having your car towed by the neighbouring buildings. Please refer to the diagram below.

For the weekend of September 5th-7th, please do not park in Zone 3.

Prayer

Pray for a strong start to the fall season as fellowships, small groups, and Christian education classes begin, for families as they adjust to new school-year rhythms and transitions, and for the Children’s Ministry as Pastor Richard and Pastor Emem navigate their ministry transitions.

Mandarin Congregation

Please pray for the in-person prayer meetings held on the fourth Wednesday of each month, as well as the September–December Sunday School series, “The Life-Transforming Gospel.” Pray for the missionaries in the field – Rev. Sean and Mrs. Zhou (Berlin, Germany), Ptr. John and Mrs. Nicole Feng (Penonome, Panama).

Cantonese Congregation

Pray for the team serving in Mongolia from August 22–30. May God protect the team and bless the evangelistic work. Pray for all ongoing outreach activities. May God grant wisdom to all committees and servers so they may serve together and share the Gospel. Pray for all pastors, leaders, and ministry workers. May God grant them wisdom to lead the ministries according to His will.

105 Gibson

We praise God for all the Canadian Summer Jobs (CSJ) students who served with us this summer: For their energy, passion, teamwork and support in the many areas of ministry they served in. May God continue to direct their paths meaningfully

What's Happening Today

We have Pre-Service Prayer every Sunday from 9:20 to 9:40 am in the library. This is a time to pray for the morning service, including the worship, the sermon, and the life of our church. Everyone is welcome, and all ages are invited. Join us as we prepare our hearts and commit the service to the Lord together.

Our next Prayer Event will be today, September 6th, in Room 308 from 11:15-12:15 pm. The theme will be praying for small group leaders and small groups. We look forward to praying together with you all at our next prayer event!

The Connection Table
Each Sunday, special tables will be reserved in the gym as a relaxed, welcoming space for anyone to meet others, build friendships, and grow together in community. Whether you’re new or have been attending for some time, we invite you to join us for fellowship and conversation.
If you are new, we encourage you to first stop by the Newcomers Welcome Booth to receive a special welcome gift, then come by the Connection Table to connect with others.
We look forward to getting to know you and helping everyone feel at home!
