Announcements

Facilities and Venue Booking – We are switching to use the Church Center App for church-related facility booking requests. Please submit your request using this link.

All congregation bookings for personal use will be considered a rental and subject to rental fees. For ministry bookings, please clearly indicate the supervising pastor who provides direction and nurturing of this ministry. Please contact your lead pastor if you have any questions concerning the supervising pastor of a ministry.

A reminder to please park in the designated lots (highlighted in purple) to avoid having your car towed by the neighbouring buildings. Please refer to the diagram below.

Our Newcomers Small Group has transitioned into a new and exciting way to help people connect with our church family — the Connection Table.
Each Sunday, special tables will be reserved in the gym as a relaxed, welcoming space for anyone to meet others, build friendships, and grow together in community. Whether you’re new or have been attending for some time, we invite you to join us for fellowship and conversation.
If you are new, we encourage you to first stop by the Newcomers Welcome Booth to receive a special welcome gift, then come by the Connection Table to connect with others.
We look forward to getting to know you and helping everyone feel at home!

A reminder to please complete your registration for the upcoming Sports Ministry events ahead of time. Secure your spot before the event date!

Ordination News

Further to the recommendation of the Senior Pastor Rev. Jonathan Chan, the endorsement from the ordained pastors of our church, and the subsequent unanimous approval of the Executive Church Board, our church submitted an application to ACEM earlier this year for the proposed ordination of Pastor Johnny (Kings) Ng. We are pleased to announce that ACEM has informed us that Pastor Ng has been approved by the ACEM Ordination Examination Committee. The decision is to be announced to the local church for three consecutive Sundays where the candidate serves. In accordance with ACEM’s ordination policy, any objection from a member of the local church must be signed and submitted in writing to the Acting Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Edmund Wu (edmundw@tccc.ca), and further co-signed by an additional two church members in good standing, before the end of the day on April 27th.

Administration Department
Please be informed that the project will commence soon and will be carried out in different zones. As the Gym and parts of the Sanctuary do not have suspended ceilings, construction work in these areas will generate dust and noise, making them unsuitable for activities during this period.
Due to the project’s nature and unpredictable weather, we may give less than a week’s notice for venue usage suspension. We appreciate your attention to this matter and apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Harry (facilities@tccc.ca).

Prayer

Pray for the planning and preparation of the May 16–18th Congregational Retreat, and for post-secondary students as they complete their final exams, that they would have focus, strength, and peace.

Mandarin Congregation

Pray for God’s guidance and wisdom in the planning of the May 16–18th congregational retreat, and for His grace at work in the hearts of those preparing for baptism and church membership on April 5, that they would be rooted in faith and ready to take this next step in following Christ. Also, pray for the upcoming “Streams of Life” Sunday School starting in April, that through it, God’s Word would deepen and strengthen the spiritual lives of all who participate.

Cantonese Congregation

Pray for those recently baptized and welcomed into membership, that they would grow in their faith under God’s guidance; for the Alpha Courses, Prime Time, and Friday Outreach ministries to lead more people to the Gospel and find their home in Christ; and for the Stream of Life and Lenten ministries to bring spiritual renewal, helping our brothers and sisters joyfully follow the Holy Spirit as disciples.

105 Gibson

Pray with thanksgiving for God’s provision for the upcoming 105 Gibson Walkathon on May 9th, including the blessing of a matching donor, and ask that this event would be fruitful in raising support, meeting needs in the community, and making a lasting, eternal impact in the lives of those reached.
