100th Markham Scout Group Program
TCCC is so blessed to have seen the Scouts ministry happened on September of 2003. This ministry is run in conjunction with our church children Christian education department as well as the Evangelism Department. This partnership we hope will achieve the objective of seeing more community children and their families come to church.
Presently, we have two Scout sections; the Beaver section (5-7 yrs.), and the Cub section (8-10 yrs.). Our volunteers are all well-trained in Scout leadership in their respective section. The group meets up each month for programs three Saturday afternoons for about 2 hours starting at 3:30 p.m.
As the children attend these scout programs, they will be introduced to both Scout skills and Christian biblical teachings that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. We also have a Parents’ Group meeting once a month, where we introduced relevant topics for the parents to benefit.
Our Group Committee (planning committee) comprised of leaders who are not just dedicated Christians but dedicated trained Scout leaders. This partnership we have also extends to you the members of TCCC family. We look forward in the future for you to also bring yourself to be involved in this kind of ministry that help shape and mold the young minds not only in their ways to better serve the community but also to better serve our Lord Jesus.
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. – 1 John 5:1
